Phú Thị Heritage Complex is dedicated to Saint Trần Hưng Đạo and has been at the heart of Phú Thị village life for centuries.
Phú Thị Heritage Complex stands in the centre of Phú Thị village, Phù Đổng commune. According to legend it was first built under the Nguyễn dynasty to worship Saint Trần Hưng Đạo.
Despite several restorations, the site keeps its traditional layout and many finely carved wooden details.
It is listed as a national heritage site.
History and legend
Surviving records date the heritage complex to around 1861, under the Nguyễn dynasty.
Royal decrees from successive dynasties show the important role the site played in the region.
Objects of worship
The site worships Saint Trần Hưng Đạo. The rear sanctuary holds the throne and tablet; the front hall holds the altar.
Locals come to offer incense on the 1st and 15th of each lunar month. Please keep quiet in the worship area.
Architecture
The building follows a traditional layout with a five-bay front hall and a three-bay rear sanctuary.
Carvings on the beams and brackets show the distinctive style of Vietnamese folk art.

Dâng lễ vật từ lúa mới để tạ ơn thần linh sau mùa gặt.

Kiệu sơn son thếp vàng, chạm rồng mây, dùng trong lễ rước.

Hệ thống hoành phi, câu đối chữ Hán ca ngợi công đức thần.
Visiting guide
Open daily from 7:00 to 17:00; on the 1st and 15th of the lunar month until 21:00.
Please dress modestly when entering the worship area. Parking is available in front of the gate.
